The subject of feeling the deepest pain came up in a few letters to me. They said the deepest pain they felt was when they caught their exes cheating on them. While that is a painful experience I don't believe that is the deepest pain a person can feel.
I have been through the deepest pain I believe. It is watching the one you love with everything you have lying in a hospital bed slowly being taken away from you. Watching them slip away knowing you will never be able to hear their voice again, see their smile, or feel the love they have for you from a simple look or a soft kiss. It is watching your love take their last breath in this life. That is what I believe is the deepest pain.
However we as human beings learn to adapt our lives to the loss and the pain. We adapt to doing things by ourselves even though it isn't enjoyable really anymore. Doing anything without love just isn't the same even the simple things in life. And when it is time we allow ourselves to love again. Life without love isn't a life... it is just an existence. Lets live in love.
